Genuine BMW part 33 32 6 775 551: Ball joint. The number stamped on the part is 33326775551; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6775551. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Rear Axle parts. It supersedes the older number 1140345, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 6852895.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (318i, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 7 diagrams, among them Rear Axle Support/Wheel Suspension (33_0380) and Rear Axle Support/Wheel Suspension (33_0840). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 290 g (0.6 lb).
