This is a genuine BMW amplifier subwoofer, part number 65 13 6 946 987. The number stamped on the part is 65136946987; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6946987. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Navigation system. It supersedes the older number 6920892, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 coupe (323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and M3, 2000–2006), with the M52, M54, M56 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them amplifier/holder Harman Kardon hifi (65_0476) and Subwoofer hifi system Harman Kardon (65_0566). It weighs about 395 g (0.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
