AHPS2 Head airbag, left — a genuine BMW part, number 72 12 9 143 353. The number stamped on the part is 72129143353; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9143353. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Parts and accessories, body parts. It supersedes the older number 7011017, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Airbag passenger and head airbag (72_0423) diagram. It weighs about 1.6 kg (3.6 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
