Adapter, left — a genuine BMW part, number 63 12 8 355 377. The number stamped on the part is 63128355377; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8355377. You will find it on our Lighting shelf, under Headlight. It supersedes the older number 8350999, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 7 diagrams, among them Headlight (63_0006) and Single components for headlight (63_0039). It weighs about 15 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Retrofit kit, headlight range control (9060605).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
