01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW adapter, part number 82 12 9 401 180. The number stamped on the part is 82129401180; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9401180. You will find it on our Merchandise & Accessories shelf, under Other Universal Accessories parts. It supersedes the older number 9401121, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, touring and compact (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 and other engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 14 diagrams, among them Ski-Box (03_3160) and Ski-Box (03_3161). It weighs about 274 g (0.6 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
