The number stamped on the part is 31306779671; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6779671. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Front Axle parts. It supersedes the older number 6754760, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Guide Support/Spring Pad/Attaching Parts (31_0408) and Guide Support/Spring Pad/Attaching Parts (31_0716). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 420 g (0.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
