Genuine BMW part 23 00 2 301 791: 5-SPEED transmission with kick starter. The number stamped on the part is 23002301791; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2301791. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 1237071, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 2301792.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 12 kg (27 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
